	The state of Zheng was a quite late fiefdom among the old Western Zhou (Xizhou) 西周 states. Duke Zhuang 鄭莊公 was factually the first hegemon (ba 霸) of the Spring and Autumn (Chunqiu) 春秋 era, but as a state located among others that grew powerful because of their territorial resources, Zheng lost its significance in the Warring States (Zhanguo) 戰國 period and was annihilated in 375 by Han 韓.
